154.C09.HE1  A Hymne to the Saints and /to the Marquesse Hamilton. [54v]   
154.C09.001  Whether the Soule that now comes vp to you
154.C09.002  fill any former Ranke, or make a new
154.C09.003  whether it take a name nam'd there before
154.C09.004  Or bee a name it selfe, & Order more
154.C09.005  Then was in heauen till now (for may not hee
154.C09.006  Bee so if euery seuerall Angell bee
154.C09.007  A kind alone) what euer Order grow
154.C09.008  Greater by him in heauen, we do not so.
154.C09.009  One of your Orders growes by his Accesse
154.C09.010  But by his losse grow all our Orders lesse.
154.C09.011  The name of Father, Master, freind; the name
154.C09.012  Of Subiect & of Prince in one is lame:
154.C09.013  Faire mirth is dampd, & conversation blacke,
154.C09.014  The houshold widdowd, & the Gartar slacke,
154.C09.015  The Chappell wants an Eare, Counsell a tongue
154.C09.016  Story a Theame, & Musicke wants a songe.
154.C09.017  Blest Order that hath him; the losse of him
154.C09.018  Gangreen'd all Orders heere, all loose a Limbe.
154.C09.019  Neuer made body such hast to confesse
154.C09.020  what a Soule was. All former comlinesse
154.C09.021  fled in a minute when the soule was gon,
154.C09.022  and hauing lost that beauty would haue none:
154.C09.023  So fell our Monasteryes in an instant growne
154.C09.024  not to lesse houses, but to heapes of stone:
154.C09.025  So sent his body that faire forme it wore
154.C09.026  Vnto the Sphere of formes, & doth (before [CW:His#body]
154.C09.027  His body fill vp his Sepulchrall stone) [55]
154.C09.028  Anticipate a Resurrection.
154.C09.029  For, as in his fame, now, his soule is heere
154.C09.030  So in the forme therof, his body's there.
154.C09.031  And if, faire Soule, not with first Innocents
154.C09.032  Thy Station be, but with the Penitents
154.C09.033  (And who shall dare to aske then when I am
154.C09.034  Dy'd Scarlett in the bloud of that pure Lambe
154.C09.035  whether that colour which is Scarlett then
154.C09.036  were blacke or white before in th'eyes of men)
154.C09.037  when thou remembrest what sinnes thou didst find
